Mezclar Arte

I’ve had the opportunity to work on a number of incredible projects that I’m pleased to share. Not only do I enjoy showcasing my work, but also sharing details about the creative process behind each project. Feel free to browse through my portfolio, and get in touch if you have a project in mind that you’d like to explore together.

Friday The 13th!!!

Throughout this week I have been working on my micrography. I completed my incitations this week and I also continued to work on my gallery for my website. Today I made my portfolio.  During my spring break I decided to intern some. Lately, I haven't been able to complete some intern hours because of his schedule and mines. I have been really trying to focus on my school work outside of school and in school, its been hard to stay on top of things because every single thing is due back to back. Thankfully my intern is really nice and says that we can do some interning hours through the phone. Interning to Grate Creations is really cool. I have been pushing myself to complete certain pieces at a time. At sometimes my internship could be hard because of some assignments he gives me, but I do try to mange. For my invitations I wanted something cool for the background so I choose to put one of my micrography pieces as my background with the help of Henry Wong. For my cover I want to splatter paint on the outside of a plain piece of paper. Working on my senior mastery has been aggravating. During this week, I started a new micrography piece which I have no idea what I am making at the moment. Hopefully it turns out nice. Micrography is really harder then I thought. I have so many ideas of what to create, but times just seems to go by so fast. Currently, I have been changing my website around to make it look better.

I had so much fun over spring break! Prom was really a blast, seeing my friends that I haven't seen for a while put the icing on the cake. After prom I basically stay in the house with my brother while doing a little bit of some interning. Only if I could go back to prom night.

This week I have been trying to decide if I want to do my site on Dreamweaver or WordPress. So far I have started a site on Dreamweaver but now I am skeptical if I will get my site done in time. I here that WordPress is really easy to use and another great thing is I can work on it at home with paying a cheaper price then Dreamweaver.  On  a good note, I have layout out what I wanted to put on my site and also how I want it to look. I also have been working on a new micrography piece for my portfolio, this one from others is a little different. I decided to use a big font for the beard, hopefully it turns out ok. On Saturday, I will be Interning my new Intern for the first time. It is really excited because not only is he a great artist but he use to attend the AAST. With Grate Creations, I plan to learn a lot of different stuff and I also get to learn how to mange the camera a little bit. My senior year is almost over and I must say it’s getting hard. I remember just coming to AAST for the first time. I really wish I could start all over again. This semester I only took 2 classes so that I could focus on my senior mastery in my major [Digital Communications]. Government and Economics is a struggle at times because its a lot of information to remember. In there I have a 90 which I am really proud of, because history was never my struggle hold when I came here. Right now in my major I have a 70 which I am trying to get my grade up. It’s been hard with working my website, using muse was good but not the best when it comes to publishing. Being that this is my last semester of high school, I plan on ending my year strong with all As. I have confidence that I can achieve this goal.

For a week in a half I have been working on a new micrography piece to continue adding on to my portfolio. Today I finish putting all the text in the place I wanted it to be. So far I like it, I will probably change some colors around a little later. My main focus for the rest of the year is to stay on top of my mastery by getting things done so I can have a good amount of pieces in my portfolio. Right now I do not have as much work competed for my portfolio, but if I continue getting my work done fast I should have at least 12-15 pieces done by the time we start our senior mastery presentation. This week I started another Intern which Is really exciting. In my other Intern I didn't think it benefit me at all to learn new thing or get better at my work. My new Intern is with Grate Creations. At Grate Creation, Mr. Elken Grate will be teaching me new things with photography, graphic design, creative arts, and charcoal. Interning someone that use to go to the same school as us is a great opportunity. Going through and reading articles, books, and blogs about things that is related to my senior mastery. With some of my research it has been hard to find some articles on micrography. Lately I have been trying to find article to get me better at digital micrography. For my senior year I did not expected it to be so difficult. I wish I would have figured out a lot of things during the summer so I could have been ahead on some projects. This semester I have been putting a lot of effort of complete my portfolio and trying to stay on top of my work. My website was going well until I found out that my site wouldn’t work when I tried to upload it. I thought that Muse would have been my best choice but unfortunalty it wasn’t. On Monday, I will start my site on Dreamweaver. Working on Muse was fun while it lasted!
